This is a super quick and wholesome breakfast. If you are trying to reduce or avoid dairy use almond milk instead, it gives a lovely nutty flavour.
- 1/2 cup of organic rolled oats (45g)
- 1 cup of almond milk (250ml)
- 1/2 small banana or 1 whole small banana
- Handful of flaked or nibbed almonds
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
Bring the oats and almond milk to the boil and simmer for just 1 minute. Remove from the pan and spoon into a heated bowl, pour a little extra milk over the porridge, top with chopped banana, almonds and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
